The game in Surabaya was also quite interesting. Sixth ranked Filipino Alab Pilipinas (5-4) played at the court of 8th ranked Indonesian CLS Knights (1-7). Alab Pilipinas managed to secure a 5-point victory 92-87 on Saturday. Alab Pilipinas looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a very good performance for American forward Justin Brownlee (197-88, college: St.John's) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 7 assists. American-Puerto Rican forward Renaldo Balkman (203-84, college: S.Carolina, agency: Aspire Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Brownlee is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. American center Brian Williams (208-87, college: Tennessee) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import forward Evan Brock (204-84, college: Alabama) added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for CLS Knights. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Alab Pilipinas have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place. CLS Knights lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with seven games lost. Alab Pilipinas will have a break next round. CLS Knights will play on the road against the league's leader Hong Kong ELL (#1) and hope to win that game.
