Regular Season Round 18: Challans - Orchies 73-69

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Orchesien BC (7-10) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Vendee Challans (9-9) 73-69 on Saturday. Orchesien BC was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was swingman Dominique Gentil (197-88, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 23 points. American guard Jordan Barham (193-94, college: Davidson) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. Four Vendee Challans players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward TJ Robinson (203-89, college: Long Beach St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 31 points and 14 rebounds and swingman Fabien Ateba (192-91) added 14 points respectively. Vendee Challans moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Orchesien BC dropped to the twelfth position with ten games lost. Vendee Challans will face bottom-ranked CFBB (#18) in Paris in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Orchesien BC will play at home against Saint-Quentin (#4) and hope to win that game.
