Regular Season Round 20: Mataro Feimat - Igualada 63-79

Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Igualada (10-4) won against on the road 8th ranked Mataro Feimat (6-8) 79-63 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Igualada. Mataro Feimat was better in fourth quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Mataro Feimat was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was center Eduard Tejero (195-92) who scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Miquel Benito chipped in 16 points. David Romero (-90) produced 18 points and guard Santiago Serrataco (187-90) added 13 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Igualada have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place in Group C-B, which they share with Palma II and Valls Nutrion. Mataro Feimat lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with eight games lost. Igualada will face Olivar (#9) in Zaragoza in the next round where they are favorite. Mataro Feimat will play on the road against Palma II in S'Arenal and hope to win that game.
