Regular Season Round 19: Bipa Basket - Mykolaiv 98-78

The game in Odessa supposed to be also worth to mention about. 4th placed Mykolaiv (9-9) played at the court of sixth ranked Bipa Basket (8-10). Bipa Basket did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 98-78. Mykolaiv was ahead by 6 points after three quarters before a 36-10 charge of Bipa Basket, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Mykolaiv's 30. Bipa Basket shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Klym Artamonov (185-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 assists and 4 steals. Forward Igor Krivtsov (201-86) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Bipa Basket players scored in double figures. Center Oleksandr Kushnirov (210-92) answered with 15 points and 7 rebounds and the former international forward Olexiy Onufriyev (202-82) added 18 points in the effort for Mykolaiv. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bipa Basket maintains sixth place with 8-10 record. Mykolaiv at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. Bipa Basket's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Budivelnyk in Kyiv and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mykolaiv will play at home against the league's leader Dnipro and hope to win that game.
