Rather expected game in Prienai where 10th ranked Vytautas (4-16) was crushed by seventh ranked P.Zvaigzdes (7-13) 116-93 on Sunday. The game without a history. P.Zvaigzdes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Vytautas' 46. P.Zvaigzdes had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was Osvaldas Olisevicius (200-93) who scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Ukrainian forward Vyacheslav Bobrov (203-92) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). American guard LiAngelo Ball (196-98, college: UCLA) produced 20 points and swingman Tomas Dimsa (198-94) added 15 points and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Five P.Zvaigzdes and four Vytautas players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. P.Zvaigzdes moved-up to sixth place. Vytautas lost their seventh game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. P.Zvaigzdes will meet league's leader Zalgiris in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vytautas will play against Juventus (#5) and hope to secure a win.
