First ranked host Rockets (7-1) defeated 3rd ranked Pirates (2-4) 74-62. Rockets forced 25 Pirates turnovers. The former international power forward Eugene Bain (195-88, college: Bellevue) notched 17 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Barry Carter supported him with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Four Rockets players scored in double figures. Even 16 points and 7 rebounds by American Dominique Fernander (, college: Hobart) did not help to save the game for Pirates. Donathan Johnson added 14 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rockets have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-1 record. Pirates at the other side keep the third place with four games lost. Rockets will play against Rebels (#4) in the next round. Pirates will play against Pros and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
