Premier League top team - Al-Manama (20-1) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Al-Bahrain (6-15) 84-64. Al-Manama forced 21 Al-Bahrain turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for the former international forward Ahmed Aziz (203-90) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American Wayne Chism (206-87, college: Tennessee) helped adding 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Al-Manama players scored in double figures. Al-Manama's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Merrill Holden (203-93, college: Iowa St., agency: SDJ Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 20 rebounds and Ayoob Najaf scored 12 points. Al-Manama have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 20-1 record. Al-Bahrain lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Sitra. Al-Manama are looking forward to face Al-Muharraq (#3) in Al Muharraq in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Al-Bahrain will play at home against Isa Town (#12) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
