No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Universitet-Yugra (16-10) defeated on the road 10th ranked MBA Moscow (9-15) 78-72. Universitet-Yugra dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to MBA Moscow's 22. Serbian Nikola Lepojevic (195-82, agency: BeoExcell) notched 32 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and forward Evgeny Karpeko (204-89, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) supported him with 10 points and 9 rebounds. Even 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) by point guard Andrey Sopin (186-97) did not help to save the game for MBA Moscow. Forward Dmitry Korshakov (201-91) added 10 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. MBA Moscow's coach Alexander Afanasyev tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Universitet-Yugra maintains seventh position with 16-10 record. MBA Moscow at the other side keeps the tenth place with 15 games lost. Universitet-Yugra will have a break next round. MBA Moscow will play at home against Novosybirsk (#4) and hope to win that game.
