Regular Season Round 8: Hong Kong ELL - CLS Knights 104-81

ASEAN League top team - Hong Kong Hong Kong ELL (9-1) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Indonesian CLS Knights (1-8) 104-81. Hong Kong ELL had a 38-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of American guard Tyler Lamb (196-91, college: Long Beach St.) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists and the other American import guard Marcus Elliott (191-84, college: Louisiana Tech) who added 23 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) during the contest. American center Brian Williams (208-87, college: Tennessee) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and American-Israeli point guard Freddie Goldstein (178-88, college: S.Alabama) scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hong Kong ELL maintains first position with 9-1 record. CLS Knights lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with eight games lost. Hong Kong ELL will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. CLS Knights will play on the road against Formosa D. (#9) in Changhua City and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
