Regular Season Round 17: Uppsala - BC Lulea 94-98

Leader BC Lulea delivered the fourteenth victory. This time they beat 6th ranked Uppsala Basket (5-11) 98-94. The guests were ahead by 3 points but lost the second period ending it with a 3-point deficit before their 26-19 run, which allowed them to win the game. BC Lulea made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 55.6 percentage. The former international Tom Liden (203-87) nailed 23 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Adam Ronnqvist (181-90) accounted for 18 points and 4 assists. Swingman Axel Nordstrom (193-91, agency: Dynamics Global Management) came up with 27 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Jalen Jenkins (201-94, college: George Mason) added 25 points and 8 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) respectively for Uppsala Basket in the defeat. Five BC Lulea and four Uppsala Basket players scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains first place with 14-3 record. Uppsala Basket at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost. BC Lulea's next round opponent will be Umea (#6) at home which should be theoretically an easy game. Uppsala Basket will play against KFUM Jamtland in Ostersund and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
