An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Manama. First ranked Al-Manama faced 3rd ranked Al-Muharraq. Host Al-Manama (21-1) defeated guests from Al Muharraq (17-5) 71-60. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Al-Muharraq. It was a good game for American Wayne Chism (206-87, college: Tennessee) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Mohammed Ameer contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Al-Manama players scored in double figures. Jamaican power forward Adrian Forbes (211-88, college: Auburn, agency: Haylett Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and Bader Abdulla added 19 points in the effort for Al-Muharraq. Al-Muharraq's coach Ivan Jeremic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Al-Manama have an impressive 13-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 21-1 record. Al-Muharraq at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. Al-Manama will play against Al-Nweidrat (#4) in Nuwaidrat in the next round. Al-Muharraq will play at home against Al-Najma and hopes to get back on the winning track.
