Regular Season Round 19: Olginate - Desio 68-81

Rather expected game when 12th ranked Olginate (7-12) lost at home to ninth ranked Desio (9-10) 81-68 on Saturday. Desio forced 23 Olginate turnovers. Strangely Olginate outrebounded Desio 43-28 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for naturalized Dominican guard Daniel Perez (185-97, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 assists. Point guard Carlo Fumagalli (188-96) contributed with 20 points and 7 steals for the winners. Power forward Andrea Bassani (198-89) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and power forward Marco Tagliabue (206-86) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Olginate. Olginate's coach Alessandro Galli rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Desio moved-up to eighth place in B, which they share with Padova. Olginate lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with 12 games lost. Desio will face Reggio Emilia (#14) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Olginate will play against Palermo GB and hope to win that game.
