Regular Season Round 32: Aomori Watts - Toyotsu FE 75-76

Fifth-ranked Aomori Watts (8-23) made lots of trouble for first ranked Toyotsu FE (19-12) on Saturday. The visitors from Nagoya managed to secure only one-point victory 76-75. However their fans expected much easier game. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was center Garrett Stutz (214-90, college: Wichita St.) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Rodney Carney (201-84, college: Memphis) chipped in 19 points. Forward Joe Burton (201-90, college: Oregon St.) produced 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Lakeem Jackson (195-90, college: S.Carolina, agency: SDJ Sports) added 9 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Toyotsu FE have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 19-12 record, which they share with Ehime OV. Aomori Watts lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 23 games lost. Toyotsu FE will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Aomori Watts will play again at home against the league's leader Toyotsu FE (#1) and are hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
