Regular Season Round 21: ULB OH!TELS - Utrera 83-67

There was no surprise when 4th placed Utrera (7-8) lost to second ranked ULB OH!TELS (10-5) in La Linea 67-83 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 46-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. ULB OH!TELS forced 19 Utrera turnovers. It was a good game for American guard DJ Irving (183-92, college: Boston U.) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 6 assists. Chadian center Edmond Koyanouba (207-95) contributed with 8 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Montenegrin power forward Zoran Vilotijevic (206-90) answered with 12 points and 7 rebounds and forward Aaron Niemeyer (191-89) added 14 points in the effort for Utrera. Four Utrera players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for ULB OH!TELS. They maintain second place in Group D-B with 10-5 record behind leader Marbella. Loser Utrera keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. ULB OH!TELS will face Huelva (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Utrera will play against the league's leader Algeciras and hope to win that game.
