Regular Season Round 17: Sokol Pisek - Sokol Zizkov 94-76

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Sokol Pisek (10-7) beat at home 10th ranked Sokol Zizkov (1-15) 94-76 on Sunday. Sokol Pisek looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Swingman Petr Slechta (192-95) orchestrated the victory by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. Power forward Pavel Englicky (210-83) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Sokol Pisek players scored in double figures. Sokol Pisek's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Jan Srna (189-94) answered with 25 points and swingman Matej Maly (189-88) added 11 points and 9 assists in the effort for Sokol Zizkov. Sokol Pisek have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place in West. Sokol Zizkov lost twelfth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with 15 games lost. Sokol Pisek will face higher ranked Vysocina (#3) in Jihlava in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sokol Zizkov will play at home against Nymburk B (#5) and hope to win that game.
