Regular Season Round 17: Novy Jicin - Kralovsti sokoli 82-94

An interesting game for Kralovsti sokoli (16-1) which played road game in Novy Jicin against 3rd placed Novy Jicin (9-8). First ranked Kralovsti sokoli managed to get a 12-point victory 94-82. Kralovsti sokoli made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Tomas Mahler (190-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Slovakian center Peter Majerik (207-85) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Kralovsti sokoli players scored in double figures. Center Tadeas Janik (201-94) answered with 18 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) and Daniel Klimek (190-96) added 14 points and 4 assists in the effort for Novy Jicin. Novy Jicin's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Kralovsti sokoli have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place in East with 16-1 record. Loser Novy Jicin keeps the third position with eight games lost. Kralovsti sokoli will face B&W Opava B (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Novy Jicin will play against Sokol Slapanice (#8) in Slapnice and hope to win that game.
