Regular Season Round 22: Sokol Lancut - Siarka 85-81

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Sokol Lancut (16-5) defeated at home 8th ranked Siarka (9-12) 85-81. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Strangely Siarka outrebounded Sokol Lancut 38-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. Siarka was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Maciej Klima (203-82) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Kamil Zywert (185-96) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 assists for the winners. Five Sokol Lancut players scored in double figures. The former international center Piotr Niedzwiedzki (210-93) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and forward Filip Czyznielewski (198-91) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Siarka. Sokol Lancut maintains third position with 16-5 record having four points less than leader Spojnia. Siarka lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Slask Wroclaw. Sokol Lancut will play against Pogon Prudnik (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Siarka will play against Slask (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
