The game had a very big importance for second-ranked HLA Alicante as it allowed them to take a leadership position. HLA Alicante defeated 12th ranked Cambados at home 63-59. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 63-59. HLA Alicante dominated on the defensive end, holding Cambados to just 6 points in third quarter. It was a great evening for swingman Kingsley Obiekwe (196-94, college: NE Oklahoma A&M CC) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 7 rebounds. American Amadou Sidibe (203-94, college: Fairfield, agency: Octagon Europe) helped adding 8 points and 12 rebounds. At the losing side British forward Will Saunders (201-91, college: Charleston So.) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and American forward Jeff Coby (203-94, college: Columbia) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Four Cambados players scored in double figures. HLA Alicante have a solid series of four victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Granada and La Roda. Cambados lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth place with 12 games lost. Cambados will play next round against Agustinos-Leclerc trying to get back on the winning streak. HLA Alicante will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Moron in Morón de la Frontera.
