Regular Season Round 20: Gries/Oberhoffen - Lorient 90-61

Everything went according to plan in Bischwiller where second ranked Gries/Oberhoffen (17-2) outscored 6th ranked Lorient (10-10) 90-61 on Friday. Gries/Oberhoffen dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Lorient's 24 and made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Lorient 40-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. Gries/Oberhoffen looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Glenn Duro (193-88) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 5 rebounds and center Ludovic Negrobar (207-91) who added 16 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Gries/Oberhoffen players scored in double figures. Gries/Oberhoffen's coach Ludovic Pouillart felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lithuanian center Dominykas Milka (203-92, college: St.Rose, NY) responded with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Mathieu Bigote (190-84) scored 14 points. Gries/Oberhoffen have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 17-2 record behind leader Saint Vallier. Loser Lorient dropped to the seventh place with ten games lost. Gries/Oberhoffen will face SO Maritime Boulogne (#7) in Boulogne-sur-Mer in the next round where they are favorite. Lorient will play on the road against Aubenas and hope to win that game.
