Regular Season Round 17: Saint-Chamond - Blois 80-73

Very important is a road loss of third ranked ADA Blois (13-4) against seventh ranked Saint Chamond (11-6) on Friday night. Visiting ADA Blois was defeated by Saint Chamond in a tough game in Saint Chamond 73-80. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of ADA Blois. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 21-16. But ADA Blois won second period 15-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Saint Chamond players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American forward Tanner McGrew (203-93, college: W.Virg.Wesl., agency: Duran International) stepped up and scored 10 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and Jonathan Hoyaux (195-88) chipped in 13 points. American forward Tyren Johnson (202-88, college: La-Lafayette) responded with 15 points and swingman Florian Thibedore (195-90) scored 11 points. Five Saint Chamond and four ADA Blois players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Saint Chamond moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Nancy. ADA Blois at the other side dropped to the second position with four games lost. They share it with Lille.
