Another exciting game took place in Edirne where sixth ranked Banvit (11-6) edged by one point 7th ranked Eskisehir Basket (10-7) 81-80. American-Italian Angelo Caloiaro (205-89, college: USF, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American point guard Billy Baron (187-90, college: Canisius) answered with 28 points and American-Bulgarian point guard Earl Rowland (188-83, college: St.Mary's, CA) added 12 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Eskisehir Basket. Four Eskisehir Basket players scored in double figures. Banvit have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Anadolu Efes. Eskisehir Basket lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with Darussafaka and Sakarya BSB. Banvit will play against Demir IBB (#11) in Buyukcekmece in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Eskisehir Basket will play on the road against Anadolu Efes (#5) in Istanbul and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
