Regular Season Round 22: La Fecha - Mondragon 68-67

Very expected game in Arroyo Encomienda where 14th ranked Mondragon (5-14) was edged by tenth ranked La Fecha (8-11) 68-67 on Saturday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. La Fecha forced 19 Mondragon turnovers. Guard Millan Lopez (185-94) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Hector Parras (198-89) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard Iker Barbero (192-92) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and American forward Justin Satchell (203, college: St.Leo) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Mondragon players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. La Fecha moved-up to ninth place in Group A-A. Mondragon lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. La Fecha will face Valle de Egues (#13) in Olaz in the next round. Mondragon will play at home against BIOK2.COM OKE and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
