We should mention about the upset which took place in Trabzon, where higher ranked Sakarya BSB (10-7) lost to fourteenth ranked Trabzonspor (5-12) in a road game 79-96 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Sakarya BSB. Trabzonspor made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Lithuanian point guard Sarunas Vasiliauskas (188-89, agency: Players Group) stepped up and scored 23 points and 8 assists for the winners and Canadian Brady Heslip (191-90, college: Baylor) chipped in 24 points. Four Trabzonspor players scored in double figures. American point guard Lazeric Jones (182-90, college: UCLA) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and Puerto Rican guard Gian Clavell (193-93, college: Colorado St.) scored 20 points. Sakarya BSB's coach Selcuk Ernak rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Trabzonspor moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Yesilgiresun. Newly promoted Sakarya BSB keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with Darussafaka and Eskisehir Basket. Trabzonspor will meet higher ranked Istanbul BBSK (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sakarya BSB will play against Yesilgiresun Bld and hope to secure a win.
