Undefeated leader Panathinaikos delivered the fifteenth consecutive win on Sunday night. This time they beat 6th ranked PAOK (8-7) 91-74 in Thessaloniki. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 91-74. The best player for the winners was international point guard Nick Calathes (198-89, college: Florida) who scored 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. American Kenny Gabriel (209-89, college: Auburn) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Panathinaikos players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Darnell Jackson (206-85, college: Kansas) who recorded 16 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import point guard Phil Goss (188-83, college: Drexel) added 18 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Panathinaikos (15-0) have an impressive series of fifteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 15 victories in a row. PAOK lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with Kolossos HH. Panathinaikos are looking forward to face G.Larissa-Faros (#12) in Keratsiniou in the next round which should be an easy win for them. PAOK will play on the road against Kymis (#9) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
