Regular Season Round 21: Palestrina - Capo d'Orlando 91-54

Not a big story in a game in Roma where 10th ranked Capo d'Orlando (9-12) was outplayed by third ranked Palestrina (16-4) 91-54 on Thursday. Palestrina dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Capo d'Orlando's 24. Palestrina forced 20 Capo d'Orlando turnovers and outrebounded them 38-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Capo d'Orlando's players. The best player for the winners was Bosnian-Serbian power forward Njegos Visnjic (200-79) who scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. The former international power forward Alessandro Paesano (203-93) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four Palestrina players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Bosnian point guard Amar Balic (180-96) who recorded 12 points and 7 assists and Jacopo Pozzi (201-87) added 9 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Palestrina moved-up to second place in B. Newly promoted Capo d'Orlando dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost. Palestrina will face Venafro (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Capo d'Orlando will play against Patti and hope to win that game.
