Regular Season Round 21: Aubenas - Lorient 84-74

An interesting game took place in Aubenas, where higher ranked Lorient (10-11) lost to seventeenth ranked Aubenas (7-14) in a road game 74-84 on Friday. Aubenas forced 19 Lorient turnovers. The best player for the winners was American forward Justin Moss (201-93, college: Buffalo) who scored 31 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Larry Williams (191-86, college: Ark.-Pine Bluff) chipped in 30 points. Aubenas' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jared Newson (196-84, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Inception Sports) who recorded 20 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and guard Mathieu Bigote (190-84) added 16 points respectively. Four Lorient players scored in double figures. Aubenas moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with GET Vosges and Lourdes. Loser Lorient keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. Aubenas will face league's second-placed Gries/Oberhoffen in Bischwiller in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
