Regular Season Round 21: Orchies - GET Vosges 82-71

Rather expected game in Orchies where 15th ranked GET Vosges (7-14) was defeated by twelfth ranked Orchesien BC (9-11) 82-71 on Saturday. Orchesien BC dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to GET Vosges' 32. Orchesien BC had a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Robert Turner (190-93, college: Texas Tech) who scored 22 points and 8 assists. His fellow American import forward TJ Robinson (203-89, college: Long Beach St.) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Senegalese power forward Madiop Ndiaye (208-95) who recorded 10 points and 9 rebounds and Malcolm Gountas (189-94) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively. Five Orchesien BC and four GET Vosges players scored in double figures. GET Vosges' coach Laurent Mathis let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Orchesien BC moved-up to eleventh place. GET Vosges lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with 14 games lost. Orchesien BC will face Lourdes-Tarbes (#17) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. GET Vosges will play against CFBB and hope to win that game.
