Bottom-ranked Worthersee Piraten is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 18th consecutive match to tenth ranked BBU S. (4-14) 89-82 on Saturday evening. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-11. But Worthersee Piraten won second period 20-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Worthersee Piraten used huge pressure winning it 15-14 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 12-19. BBU S. made 29-of-38 free shots (76.3 percent) during the game, while Worthersee Piraten only scored nine points from the stripe. Slovenian forward Luka Milovac (194-94) notched 31 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and center Lorenz Rattey (207-92) supported him with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Four BBU S. players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 27 points and 13 rebounds by forward Ian Moschik (203-96) did not help to save the game for Worthersee Piraten. Slovenian guard Elvis Keric (184-98) added 26 points and 6 rebounds. BBU S. maintains tenth position with 4-14 record. Loser Worthersee Piraten still closes the standings. BBU S. will meet higher ranked UBC St. Polten (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Worthersee Piraten will play against Lions (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
