Regular Season Round 20: Schwabing - Gotha II 69-72

Date: February 10, 2018
Eighth-ranked Schwabing (7-10) made lots of trouble for third ranked Gotha II (15-3) on Saturday. The visitors from Gotha managed to secure only three-point victory 72-69. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Schwabing. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 24-17 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Estonian point guard Kristian Kullamae (190-99, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Robert Franklin (195-81, college: N.Mexico Highlands) who added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. American swingman Nathan Gibbs (203-89, college: Westmont) responded with 12 points and 9 rebounds and Fynn Fischer (208-99) scored 20 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Schwabing's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Gotha II have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of South-East leader, which they share with Oberhaching. Schwabing at the other side keeps the eighth place with ten games lost. Gotha II will meet at home Ansbach (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Schwabing will play against Herzogenaurach and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
