Very expected game in Panevezys where 9th ranked Nevezis (6-18) was defeated by fourth ranked Lietkabelis (15-8) 82-72. Lietkabelis players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The former international center Darjus Lavrinovic (212-79) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. American point guard Lorenzo Williams (187-84, college: Rice) contributed with 13 points and 6 assists for the winners. Forward Gabas Maldunas (206-93, college: Dartmouth) replied with 15 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard Lester Medford (178-93, college: Baylor, agency: 3Eye) added 17 points in the effort for Nevezis. Five Lietkabelis and four Nevezis players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Lietkabelis maintains fourth position with 15-8 record. Nevezis at the other side keeps the ninth place with 18 games lost. Lietkabelis' next round opponent will be P.Zvaigzdes (#5) in Pasvalys.
