We should not miss the game where second ranked Marbella (12-5) against Medacbasket (11-6) where Marbella won on the road by eleven points 81-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Medacbasket. Marbella had a 23-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American center Evan Maxwell (203, college: Dowling) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Senegalese power forward Pape Sow (205-93) accounted for 18 points for the winning side. Five Marbella players scored in double figures. American forward Deshawn Curtis (198-92, college: Cheyney) came up with 17 points and 9 rebounds and guard Pablo Imbroda (-95) added 14 points, 5 assists and 4 steals respectively for Medacbasket in the defeat. Medacbasket's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Newly promoted Marbella maintains second place in Group D-A with 12-5 record behind leader Vic. Medacbasket at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. Marbella's next round opponent will be Unicaja-Andalucia (#7) in Malaga which should be theoretically an easy game. Medacbasket will play on the road against CAM E.Soler (#4) in Melilla and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
