Regular Season Round 16: MZT Skopje - Kumanovo 87-74

The game between Top Four teams took place in Skopje. Third ranked host MZT Skopje (12-3) defeated one of their biggest challengers Kumanovo (10-6) 87-74. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Kumanovo. MZT Skopje made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Kumanovo 41-24 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Jordon Crawford (168-90, college: Bowling Green) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 9 assists and 4 steals (made all of his eight free throws) and the former international power forward Bojan Trajkovski (208-88, agency: Mansfield and Associates) who added 16 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four MZT Skopje players scored in double figures. At the losing side Serbian forward Mirko Kovac (199-83) responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds and international point guard Boban Stajic (185-93) scored 18 points. Kumanovo's coach Igor Mihajlovski rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion maintains third position with 12-3 record having four points less than leader Rabotnicki. Kumanovo at the other side keeps the fourth place with six games lost. They share the position with Gostivar. MZT Skopje are looking forward to face Gostivar (#5) on the road in the next round. Kumanovo will play against Feni Industries in Kavadarci and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
