Regular Season Round 18: Bisons Loimaa - Raholan Pyrkiva 108-74

1st Division top team - Loimaan Korikonkarit (17-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked Raholan Pyrkiva (5-13) 108-74. The game without a history. Loimaan Korikonkarit led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-19 charity shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Loimaan Korikonkarit outrebounded Raholan Pyrkiva 47-28 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Josh Caldwell (203, college: William Penn) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 18 rebounds. The other American import guard Brandon Norfleet (196-93, college: Indiana, PA, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 33 points (!!!). Caldwell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Loimaan Korikonkarit's coach Arttu Mannelin felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Janne Sarja (187-95) who recorded 20 points and Russian guard Artem Shchepkin (194-86) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Loimaan Korikonkarit maintains first position in Division with 17-1 record. Raholan Pyrkiva at the other side keeps the ninth place with 13 games lost. Loimaan Korikonkarit's next round opponent will be Aanekosken Huima (#8) in Aanekoski and are hoping to win another game. Raholan Pyrkiva will play at home against Aalto-Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
