Regular Season Round 22: Nardo - Pescara 82-55

There was an upset when higher ranked Pescara (12-10) was outleveled on the road by eleventh ranked Nardo (11-11) 82-55 on Sunday. Nardo dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Pescara's 20. Nardo forced 19 Pescara turnovers and outrebounded them 41-28 including 35 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Quite impressive performance for Federico Ingrosso (190-94) who helped to win the game recording 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Stefano Provenzano (195-86) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Five Nardo players scored in double figures. Nardo's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Andrea Capitanelli (208-86) replied with 8 points and 9 rebounds and Dario Masciarelli (197-98, agency: Two Points) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Pescara. Nardo moved-up to tenth place in B. Loser Pescara dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. Nardo will face higher ranked Campli (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
