Regular Season Round 22: Desio - Vicenza 68-85

Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Vicenza (14-8) won against on the road 8th ranked Desio (10-12) 85-68 on Sunday. They outrebounded Desio 44-28 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Vicenza looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Desio's players. Quite impressive performance for Argentinian guard Ariel Svoboda (193-85, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 7 rebounds and 13 assists. Naturalized Argentinian center Diego Corral (203-86, agency: Interperformances) contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Guard Simone Casati (190-91, agency: SPORTlab Agency) replied with 17 points and point guard Carlo Fumagalli (188-96) added 13 points in the effort for Desio. Five Vicenza and four Desio players scored in double figures. Vicenza moved-up to fifth place in B, which they share with Faenza. Loser Desio keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. Vicenza will face Tessilform Bernareggio (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Desio will play against Lugo (#11) and hope to win that game.
