Regular Season Round 22: Cassino - Sestu 77-58

Very expected game when 12th ranked Sestu (7-15) was smashed on the road by fifth ranked Cassino (16-6) 77-58 on Monday. Cassino outrebounded Sestu 44-28 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Quite impressive performance for the former international power forward Simone Bagnoli (205-81, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Maurizio Del-Testa (187-89) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Cassino's coach Luca Vettese used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Daniele Locci (192-94) replied with 13 points and 6 rebounds and guard Fabio Villani (184-87) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Sestu. Cassino moved-up to third place in B, which they share with Piacenza. Newly promoted Sestu dropped to the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. Cassino will face Venafro (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sestu will play against Catanzaro and hope to win that game.
