Regular Season Round 24: ULB OH!TELS - Jaguarzo Adepla 76-91

There was an upset when second-best ULB OH!TELS (11-7) lost to sixth ranked Jaguarzo Adepla (9-9) in La Linea 76-91 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 43-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Jaguarzo Adepla especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. It was a good game for American forward David Atkinson (203-91, college: Salem Intern.) who led his team to a victory with 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. The other American import guard Shaquille Monroe-Gaskins (188-92, college: Wilmington, DE) contributed with 29 points and 4 steals for the winners. Chadian center Edmond Koyanouba (207-95) replied with 10 points and 8 rebounds and American guard DJ Irving (183-92, college: Boston U.) added 6 points and 8 assists in the effort for ULB OH!TELS. ULB OH!TELS's coach Vicente Gonzalez rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jaguarzo Adepla have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place in Group D-B, which they share with Cordobasket. Loser ULB OH!TELS keeps the second position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
