Regular Season Round 21: Leitershofen - Bamberg 82-60

No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Topstar (7-12) crushed 12th ranked Bamberg (5-14) in Diedorf 82-60 on Saturday. Bamberg was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for guard Jonathan Genck (185-86) who led his team to a victory with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Slovenian guard Emanuel Richter (192-86) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Topstar's coach Ian Chadwick felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Michael Lachmann (192-89) answered with 15 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Christoph Dippold (191-94) added 16 points in the effort for Bamberg. Topstar moved-up to ninth place in South-East, which they share with Herzogenaurach. Bamberg lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Topstar will face higher ranked Schwabing (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bamberg will play against the league's leader Oberhaching (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
