Regular Season Round 23: Gornik Walbrzych - WKK Wroclaw 74-67

There was no surprise in Walbrzych where 6th ranked WKK Wroclaw (12-11) was defeated by first ranked Gornik (20-3) 74-67 on Saturday. Gornik outrebounded WKK Wroclaw 41-29 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by WKK Wroclaw's players. It was a great evening for forward Tomasz Krzywdzinski (202-95, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Rafal Glapinski (183-82) helped adding 16 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Point guard Tomasz Jozefiak (188-93) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and Kamil Fiedukiewicz (188-98) scored 15 points. Five Gornik and four WKK Wroclaw players scored in double figures. Gornik have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group D with 20-3 record. Loser WKK Wroclaw keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost. Gornik will face Katy Wroclawskie (#12) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. WKK Wroclaw will play against AZS KU PO (#3) and hope to win that game.
