Regular Season Round 23: Wisla Krakow - Bielsko-Biala 68-70

There was an upset when 4th placed Wisla Krakow (13-9) was edged at home by tenth ranked Bielsko-Biala (8-14) 70-68 on Sunday. It was a great evening for guard Grzegorz Szybowicz (187-86) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Forward Robert Kozaczka (199-81) helped adding 18 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks. Forward Jakub Wojciechowski (197-93) responded with 23 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Jakub Zaczek (204-96) scored 7 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Wisla Krakow's coach Piotr Piecuch tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Despite that victory Bielsko-Biala went down to eleventh position (Group C) due to points difference. Loser Wisla Krakow keeps the fourth place with nine games lost. Bielsko-Biala will face higher ranked MCKiS Jaworz. (#3) in Jaworzno in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
