Leader Loimaan Korikonkarit recorded the nineteenth victory. This time they crushed 7th ranked HyPo (9-11) 109-65. The game without a history. Loimaan Korikonkarit led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to HyPo's 38 and made 20-of-23 charity shots (87.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded HyPo 46-29 including 31 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by American forward Josh Caldwell (203, college: William Penn) who scored that evening 26 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import guard Brandon Norfleet (196-93, college: Indiana, PA, agency: Inception Sports) supported him with 28 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Caldwell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Loimaan Korikonkarit players scored in double figures. Loimaan Korikonkarit's coach Arttu Mannelin felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 25 points and 8 assists by American guard DVon Campbell (185-92, college: Campbellsville) did not help to save the game for HyPo. Forward Ilkka Blomqvist (196-84) added 10 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Newly promoted Loimaan Korikonkarit maintains first position in Division with 19-1 record. HyPo at the other side keeps the seventh place with 11 games lost. Loimaan Korikonkarit's next round opponent will be PuHu Juniorit (#12) in Vantaa which should be another easy win for them. HyPo will play at home against Aanekosken Huima (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
