Very expected game when 16th ranked Teguise (2-18) was smashed on the road by seventh ranked Alcobendas (11-10) 84-47 on Saturday. The game without a history. Alcobendas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Alcobendas outrebounded Teguise 47-31 including 33 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for power forward Daniel Trachsel (202-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 18 rebounds. Naturalized Guinean point guard Sebastian Mbansogo (187-95) contributed with 15 points and 5 assists for the winners. Power forward Alejandro Machin (201-83) replied with 14 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Jorge Almenara (177-0) added 9 points in the effort for Teguise. Alcobendas moved-up to sixth place in Group B, which they share with Tenerife Naut. Teguise lost sixteenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixteenth position with 18 games lost. Alcobendas will face higher ranked Villarrobledo (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Teguise will play against Estudiantes B (#8) and hope to win that game.
