Regular Season Round 20: Tokyo Big Blue - Tokyo Cinq R. 82-84

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Tokyo Cinq R. and 9th ranked Tokyo Big Blue had identical 3-22 record. But Tokyo Big Blue was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Tokyo 84-82 on Saturday night. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and Senegalese Bira Seck (204-90, college: Idaho, agency: Interperformances) who added 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Tokyo Cinq R. players scored in double figures. Tokyo Cinq R.'s coach Joe Navarro used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American center Joe Wolfinger (216-85, college: Citadel) responded with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 29 rebounds and point guard Kota Goto (176-94) scored 22 points and 4 assists. Tokyo Cinq R. maintains eighth position with 4-22 record. Tokyo Big Blue lost fourth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 23 lost games. Tokyo Cinq R.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tokyo to the arena Tokyo HT.
