Regular Season Round 12: Formosa D. - Hong Kong ELL 91-93

Ninth-ranked Taiwanese Formosa D. (1-16) made lots of trouble for first ranked Hong Kong ELL (12-2) in Changhua City on Saturday. The visitors from Hong Kong managed to secure only two-point victory 93-91. However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was American guard Marcus Elliott (191-84, college: Louisiana Tech) who scored 31 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). The other American import guard Tyler Lamb (196-91, college: Long Beach St.) chipped in 29 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Cameron Forte (201-93, college: Portland St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field) and Salvadorean-American center Ronnie Aguilar (216-87, college: CS Dominguez H.) added 20 points and 13 rebounds respectively. Four Formosa D. players scored in double figures. Formosa D.'s coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Hong Kong ELL have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-2 record. Formosa D. lost thirteenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 16 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
