Regular Season Round 23: Kremen-2 - Niko-Basket 98-74

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Niko-Basket (18-3) in Kremenchuk on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by third ranked Kremen-2 (16-7) 98-74. The game without a history. Kremen-2 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for center Anatoly Chelovan (208-91, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Yaroslav Kadygrob (195-91) helped adding 25 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Mykhailo Horobchenko (182-98) responded with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international center Roman Gumeniuk (220-87) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kremen-2 maintains third place with 16-7 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Dinamo. Niko-Basket at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Kremen-2 are looking forward to face league's second-placed Zolotoi Vek in Kirovograd in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Niko-Basket will play at home against Kharkivski Sokoly and is hoping to win this game.
