Regular Season Round 24: Leon - Naron 93-78

Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Naron (8-14) lost on the road to fourth ranked Leon (12-10) 93-78 on Sunday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Leon's pressure prevailed and they won that period 28-18 extending their advantage to 15 points. They also forced 20 Naron turnovers. It was a good game for forward Pablo Ruiz (-97) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 assists. American forward Colby Taylor (198-94, college: Central, agency: Dynamics Global Management) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Five Leon players scored in double figures. American guard Anthony Holliday (191-92, college: Lamar) replied with 29 points and Danish center Tobias Reinholt (208-95, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 15 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Naron. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Leon maintains fourth position in Group A-B with 12-10 record, which they share with Betanzos and Carbajosa. Naron lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth place with 14 games lost. Leon will face COB (#11) in Ourense in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Naron will play at home against Estudiantes L. and hope to win that game.
