Regular Season Round 12: Formosa D. - Westports MD 92-95

A very interesting game took place in Changhua City. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 9th ranked Taiwanese Formosa D. (1-16) to seventh ranked Malaysian Westports MD (4-10) 95-92 on Sunday evening. Westports MD forced 19 Formosa D. turnovers. 27 personal fouls committed by Formosa D. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by American forward Chris Eversley (201-91, college: Cal Poly - SLO) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds and the other American import guard Joshua Munzon (191-95, college: CS Los Angeles) supported him with 29 points and 9 rebounds. Even a double-double of 42 points (!!!), 25 rebounds and 5 assists by American forward Cameron Forte (201-93, college: Portland St.) did not help to save the game for Formosa D.. Yu-Han Chen (-93) added 19 points. Formosa D.'s coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Westports MD maintains seventh position with 4-10 record. Formosa D. lost thirteenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 16 games lost. Westports MD's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Alab Pilipinas in Manila and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
