Regular Season Round 22: Weser Bsk/BTS - Stade 75-112

Very expected game in Neustadt where 12th ranked Weser Bsk/BTS (3-16) was crushed by seventh ranked Stade (10-8) 112-75 on Sunday. Stade dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Weser Bsk/BTS's 44. Stade forced 32 Weser Bsk/BTS turnovers and outrebounded them 46-35 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Spanish power forward Oscar Andres (200-87) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Janis Stielow (193-95) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Stade players scored in double figures. Stade's coach Paul Larysz felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Canadian forward Ismar Kriese (201-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) and Dion-Mohammed Braimoh (192-99) scored 18 points. Stade moved-up to sixth place in North. Weser Bsk/BTS lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 16 games lost. Stade will face higher ranked Rendsburg (#4) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Weser Bsk/BTS's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Neustadt to the arena Neustadt TSV.
