The biggest surprise of round 2 in 1Liga took place in Ostrava where host Ostrava (9-11) beat Nymburk B (12-8) 93-86 on Sunday evening. Ostrava forced 23 Nymburk B turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by Nymburk B helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was point guard Jan Ricka (180-98) who scored 16 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. Forward Martin Horkel (197) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Ostrava players scored in double figures. Ostrava's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Martin Kolar (194-98) produced a double-double by scoring 29 points and 17 rebounds and guard Filip Novotny (192-0) added 23 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Nymburk B will play next round against Novy Jicin trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Ostrava will try to continue on its current victory against USK Praha B on the road.
