Quarter-Finals Round 1: TLU/Kalev - Jurmala 81-89

Jurmala upset TLU/Kalev in Tallinn in the opener. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But TLU/Kalev won third quarter 21-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded TLU/Kalev 40-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. Ivars-Rihards Zvigurs (198-95) nailed 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Edgars Jeromanovs (186-86) accounted for 19 points and 5 assists. Jurmala's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Kayel Locke (196-94, college: NC-Greensboro) came up with 21 points and point guard Kristo Saage (186-85) added 17 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!) respectively for TLU/Kalev in the defeat. Four TLU/Kalev players scored in double figures.
